Every job is unique, and physical training needs to reflect the demands of each workplace.

About the Programs

We offer two broad program streams. Programs designed for those currently working in the industry (employees) and programs designed for those looking to gain entry into the industry (recruits).

Employees

If you’re currently working in a physically demanding industry, this section is for you. No doubt you already know the benefits of specific physical training, but sometimes you just need some guidance on what this physical training looks like. This is where we come in. We offer industry-tailored general or personalised programs, depending on your needs.

Recruits

Are you looking to join a Policing, Firefighting, Emergency Services, Military or Special Forces organisation? You will know that to work in any of these fields, you need a base level of physical fitness. However, it is not good enough to just be ‘fit’, a specific type of fitness that matches the demands of the job is required.

Each program is designed with the unique fitness requirements of these occupational roles in mind. The programs are designed for personnel in the following industries:

Firefighting

Firefighting


Firefighting can be a very physically challenging occupation. Not only do you have to contend with physically demanding tasks, you are often exposed to extreme thermal environments. The excess heat created from wearing PPE and BA can significantly affect your physical capability.

Functional fitness is essential for firefighters. Without the necessary fitness, you are putting yourself at risk, your colleagues at risk and the general public at risk.

Our programs have been developed to ensure you have the physical fitness required for the physical tasks you are exposed to during operations. The programs are founded on building whole body strength and power, as well as aerobic fitness, for tasks such as hose drags, ladder climbs, static holds, operations of tools, casualty drags, and lifting/lowering.

We offer a range of general and personalised programs. Each program is designed with the principles of specificity, progressive overload, periodisation and variety. This means that each program is structured towards building functional strength and fitness for your job.

Police

Police


Policing requires a range of physical capabilities. Often police officers go from long periods of sedentary work to periods of high intensity activity. Functional fitness is essential for all types of police officers. Without the necessary fitness, you are putting yourself at risk, your colleagues at risk and the general public at risk.

Our programs have been developed to ensure you have the physical fitness required for the physical tasks you are exposed to during operations. The programs are founded on building whole body strength and power, as well as aerobic fitness, for tasks such as arresting and restraining, prolonged load carriage, pursuits of offenders, static holds, operations of weapons and lifting/lowering.

We offer a range of general and personalised programs. Each program is designed with the principles of specificity, progressive overload, periodisation and variety. This means that each program is structured towards building functional strength and fitness for your job.

Army

Army


Army personnel, both soldiers and officers, are exposed to a greater variety of physical demands than post professions. For soldiers in particular, many tasks are conducted in external load, such as body armour, webbing and backpacks. This can be very physically challenging and requires a unique type of fitness.

Our programs have been developed to ensure you have the physical fitness required for the physical tasks you are exposed to during Army training and operations. The programs are founded on building whole body strength and power, as well as aerobic fitness, for tasks such as pack marching, lifting, lowering and carrying stores, static holds, operations of weapons, casualty drags and dynamic situations.

Navy

Navy


Naval roles are highly varied and often very challenging. Navy personnel also have the added demand of performing many tasks in non-stable environments, such as sea vessels. Functional fitness is essential for Naval personnel. Without the necessary fitness, you are often putting yourself and your colleagues at risk.

Airforce

Airforce


Airforce roles are highly varied and often very challenging. Airforce personnel often perform tasks in time-critical environments that require precision and a demonstration of physical competence. Life Guarding

Life Guarding


Life guards require a unique fitness designed for operations in the aquatic environment. This includes the aerobic fitness and physical strength to perform swimming rescues, tube and board rescues, as well as manual handling tasks such as IRB operations and drags and carries of unconscious victims.

Our programs have been developed to ensure you have the physical fitness required for the physical tasks you are exposed to during lifeguarding operations. The programs are founded on building whole body strength and power, as well as aerobic fitness, for tasks such as water rescues, IRB operations, beach activities and manual handling of equipment.

Paramedics

Paramedics


Paramedics operate in very time-pressured and dynamic environments. There are numerous manual handling and patient manipulation tasks that need to be carried out quickly and delicately. Functional fitness is essential for paramedics. Without the necessary fitness, you are putting yourself at risk, your colleagues at risk and the general public at risk.

Our programs have been developed to ensure you have the physical fitness required for the physical tasks you are exposed to during operations. The programs are founded on building whole body strength and power, as well as aerobic fitness, for tasks such as patient transfer, manual handling, non-compliant patients, and working in confined spaces.

Special Forces

Special Forces


Special forces, including tactical policing, requires a level of fitness above and beyond any other progression. It takes a special type of person to operate within these special units. The physical and mental demands are extremely arduous. Functional fitness is essential for special force operators. Personnel need specific strength and power capabilities that exceed most general military and policing roles.

Our programs have been developed to ensure you have the physical fitness required for the physical tasks you are exposed to during tactical and elite operations. The programs are founded on building whole body strength and power, as well as aerobic fitness, for tasks such as prolonged pack marching, casualty drags, combat scenarios, arrest and restrain scenarios, stealth operations and manual handling.

What's Included in the Programs

We offer two broad program streams. Programs designed for those currently working in the industry (employees) and programs designed for those looking to gain entry into the industry (recruits).

  • Structure

    Structure

    The programs include day-by-day workouts, which are broken into AM and PM time slots. Although it is advised you stick as closely to the training schedule as possible, we understand that life can get in the way and you will not always be able to stick to these times.

  • Duration

    Duration

    We tailor the duration of the program to suit your needs. Typically, programs will be 1 month, 3 months or 6 months.

  •  Training Sessions

    Training Sessions

    Training sessions include cardio, resistance training (gym), circuit training, mobility and functional sessions. We prescribe a range of cardio sessions, including running, riding, rowing and swimming. The functional sessions will be specific sessions depending on the industry. For example, pack marching could be a functional session for members in Army, Firefighting or Policing roles. The allocation and distribution of training sessions will depend on the industry and the duration of the program.

  • Logging

    Logging

    You can log all the training sessions you complete. There is also the option to leave comments and feedback for your trainers. The online portal will allow you to track your progress over the course of the program.

  • Videos

    Videos

    All of the resistance training exercises have videos which demonstrate proper lifting technique. There are also written instructions on how to perform each exercise if you are unfamiliar.

  • Calendar

    Calendar

    You can sync your training program with your personal calendar to ensure you can see what sessions are coming up each week.

  • Other Features

    Other Features

    There are a range of other features within the online portal. You can communicate with your trainer via private messages. You can download files that have been uploaded for you. You can see upcoming events that may have been scheduled for you. And much more.
